Undermining Marriage

Jude 1:7 (ESV)

7 just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding cities, which likewise indulged in sexual immorality and pursued unnatural desire, serve as an example by undergoing a punishment of eternal fire.

In some circles this idea of being opposed to homosexuality is not received very well, and I will tell you why. I think this is one of the gravest dangers in our culture today...because this sin of homosexuality strikes at the very heart of the marriage relationship—the biblical traditional marriage relationship which is at the very fabric of society and the very fabric of the church. The marriage relationship was designed by God to reflect the glory of God and the relationship that God has with his people. And when that relationship is undermined that witness is destroyed, and that is a terrible thing in our culture.1
