The fourth reason Daniel bless God:
The Lord is awesome.
Daniel speaks highly of him as the God of the covenant, calling the Lord the God of my fathers
. The God who has proven himself in the past is also his God. He is and always will be the same! It is this God who gives wisdom and might to him in these circumstances. It is this God who now makes known to him the dream of Nebuchadnezzar. The Lord is the one who answers prayer and Daniel can now go to the king with confidence. Thanks to the Lord! All praise and thanks are due to him.
23 To you, O God of my fathers, I give thanks and praise, for you have given me wisdom and might, and have now made known to me what we asked of you, for you have made known to us the king’s matter.”
