The wise men also have to admit now, as in the time of Nebuchadnezzar, that they are not getting any divine revelation. They have nothing to say, nothing to offer. They cannot read the divine writing on the wall. They cannot give a proper explanation. The world, with all its science and knowledge, is speechless.
8 Then all the king’s wise men came in, but they could not read the writing or make known to the king the interpretation.
