The virtue list presented in 2 Peter 1:5–7 falls within the inclusio of knowing God (2 Peter 1:3–4) and knowing Christ (2 Peter 1:8). This is significant and shows us that the outcome of knowing God and partaking in the divine nature is for believers to make progress in terms of moral character.
