God’s Son has suffered and died in my place therefore my death is not a payment for my sin.
God’s Son has paid even for my most wicked sins. The times where like Peter I have denied Jesus. If I believe in Jesus Christ, all my sins will be forgiven.
What does this passage reveal about what God the Spirit does in me and through me?
God the Holy Spirit helps me to respond with faith rather than fear. By God’s grace, the Holy Spirit transformed the fear of the three women into faith. They didn’t stay silent; they told the disciples about Jesus; they worshipped and followed him as their King. Likewise God the Holy Spirit helps me today to trust in Jesus Christ and live for him, even if it means suffering and hardship.
