Paul goes further with his analogy. There is both continuity and discontinuity between a seed and the plant which grows from it. God uses the seed to give life to a new plant, and yet the plant far surpasses the seed in beauty and glory. Likewise it is impossible to discover, by looking at our bodies in their present condition, just how glorious our resurrected bodies will be.
37 And what you sow is not the body that is to be, but a bare kernel, perhaps of wheat or of some other grain.
