In Luke 6:19, Luke mentions that Jesus heals everyone. These miracles are signs of the kingdom brought by Jesus. He gains victory over demons and diseases, but these miracles are not available separately and do not stand alone. This is why education about the kingdom follows them. There are characteristics of those who belong to this realm (Luke 6:20–23), and characteristics of those who do not belong (Luke 6:24–26); there are rules about how to think and act in this kingdom (Luke 6:27–38); parables that teach something about the attitude of the citizens of the kingdom (Luke 6:39–45). The sermon concludes with the warning to take the teachings of Jesus—the King of this kingdom—with the utmost seriousness.
