Things remained unsettled between the king of the south, the Egyptian king, Ptolemy IV, and the king of the north, Antiochus III. It does not sit well with the king of Egypt that Antiochus had penetrated so deeply into Egypt. This makes him bitter. He did not really benefit directly from his victory in Egypt over Antiochus and his army. Therefore, he later moves his armies north to confront the army of the north. The king of the north realizes the danger and also raises a large army. In that battle Ptolemy IV defeats the king of the north, Antiochus III.
11 Then the king of the south, moved with rage, shall come out and fight against the king of the north. And he shall raise a great multitude, but it shall be given into his hand.
