Leviticus 2:15 (ESV)
15 And you shall put oil on it and lay frankincense on it; it is a grain offering.
As with the burnt offering, the worshipper and the priests have different duties. In this instance, the worshipper is to gather fine flour
(sōlěṯ
). This term refers to luxurious food (Ezekiel 16:13, Ezekiel 16:19). The worshipper was required to pour oil and put frankincense upon the flour.
