The three virtues mentioned here are faith, love, and hope. These virtues frequently occur together (see Romans 5:1–5; 1 Corinthians 13:13; Galatians 5:5–6; Colossians 1:4–5; 1 Thessalonians 5:8; Hebrews 10:22–24; 1 Peter 1:21–22), especially in Paul, and represent some of the most essential qualities of Christian character.
