What is the significance of the laying on of hands?
Leviticus 3:2 (ESV)
2And he shall lay his hand on the head of his offering and kill it at the entrance of the tent of meeting, and Aaron’s sons the priests shall throw the blood against the sides of the altar.
As with the burnt offering, the worshipper brought his offering to the tent of meeting. There he placed his hand upon the animal and slaughtered it. See commentary on Leviticus 1:4
2 And he shall lay his hand on the head of his offering and kill it at the entrance of the tent of meeting, and Aaron’s sons the priests shall throw the blood against the sides of the altar.
