Why does his daughter request two months away?

Judges 11:37 (ESV)

37 So she said to her father, “Let this thing be done for me: leave me alone two months, that I may go up and down on the mountains and weep for my virginity, I and my companions.”

She requests the opportunity to lament on the mountains of Gilead to prepare herself for her untimely death. This is understandable. She as a young girl is told that she is going to have to be killed before her time, and so she goes with some companions for an emotional farewell.
