The previous instructions for the guilt offering focused on the individual Israelite. In this instance, the focus is on the priest’s responsibility regarding the guilt offering. It was the privilege of the priest to play the role of mediator between God and the people.
5 The priest shall burn them on the altar as a food offering to the LORD; it is a guilt offering.
