What does Acts 2:1-13 reveal about what God does in my place and on my behalf (the work of the Son)? God the Son, our Lord Jesus Christ has accomplished redemption through his life, death, and resurrection. He lived the perfect life in my place by perfectly obeying all God’s commandments. He died the death I deserve and was resurrected as proof that his death has paid the penalty for my sin. Now having ascended into heaven, he has sent the Holy Spirit which he promised (Acts 1:8). The Spirit will be with his people to comfort them and to empower them for works of service.
