What does Acts 5:1-11 reveal about what God does in my place and on my behalf (the work of the Son)? Jesus Christ is the only person who was not a hypocrite. Everyone else is a lawbreaker. There will most certainly have been times in our lives where we have broken the ninth commandment and acted deceitfully. Thankfully Jesus perfectly obeyed God’s law in our place and also bore the punishment that we deserve for our hypocrisy so that we can be forgiven, so that we can become part of God’s people, and so that we can look forward to eternal life in God’s presence.
