The word that the elders and the living creatures use is a transliteration of the Hebrew word for faithful, believing,
and so expresses trust. With this word they are responding with agreement to the words of the great multitude (Revelation 19:1–3). They can do so because of their role through the book as witnesses, and so can affirm that “salvation and glory and power” truly characterize this God.
4 And the twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshiped God who was seated on the throne, saying, “Amen. Hallelujah!”
