It is essential to notice that the Lord’s woman clothed herself, yet clothing herself was a privilege granted her. The one who granted her the privilege is clearly the Lord himself (note the divine passive). At the same time she has responsibility to act upon what the Lord gives her and so dress herself. The privilege of receiving underscores the need to praise the Lord (“Hallelujah”).
8 it was granted her to clothe herself with fine linen, bright and pure” for the fine linen is the righteous deeds of the saints.
