The angel acts as the spokesperson for God.1 He commands the apostles to stay in Jerusalem and continue public preaching and teaching regarding Jesus. Despite the danger and the opposition of the Sanhedrin, the apostles must continue the task which Christ has given to them. Their release from prison has not relieved them from the duty to preach.2 They must convey the full message of this new life, not only focusing on that which will spare them from trouble. This message focuses on the salvation that was accomplished by and is found in Jesus Christ alone, the Author of life (Acts 3:15; John 6:68).3
20 “Go and stand in the temple and speak to the people all the words of this Life.”
