What does 1 Samuel 2:11–36 reveal about what God does in my place and on my behalf (the work of the Son)? God sends a faithful priest who can intercede between man and God. Because Jesus is both God and man, he can perfectly intercede on our behalf. He can represent us to God (being man), and he can represent God to us (being God). As such, he is the only mediator between God and men (see 1 Timothy 2:5; Hebrews 7:24–25).
