As a result of spending time in God’s presence and learning from God’s priests, Samuel is growing in knowledge and wisdom. He is learning what it means to fear the Lord, and his godliness is evident to the people who come to the tabernacle. The growth of Samuel is echoed in the New Testament with reference to Jesus (Luke 2:40, Luke 2:52).
