1. Mark 7:37 (ESV)
  2. Exposition

What do the people mean by saying Jesus has done all things well?

Mark 7:37 (ESV)

37 And they were astonished beyond measure, saying, “He has done all things well. He even makes the deaf hear and the mute speak.”

These words remind us of Genesis 1:31, where God surveyed the works of his creation and declared them good. Likewise, these words of the people signify that the Son’s work in redemption is like the Father’s work in creation: it is done well and leaves nothing to be desired.1
