Job’s words deserve a response, says Zophar. And the multitude of Job’s words do not prove him to be right. There is truth in what Zophar says, and yet he cruelly overlooks the anguish with which Job has spoken. Rather than viewing Job as a despairing sufferer, he dismisses Job as a man full of talk.
