Psalm 88:2 (ESV)

2 Let my prayer come before you; incline your ear to my cry!

This author does what the Lord asks of man. When the Lord says, Seek my face, my heart says to him, Your face, Lord, do I seek (Psalm 27:8). Passionately, he desires that God’s ears (literal translation), meaning: will hear him. Let my cries reach you, he pleads in his prayer. For oh, his need is so great.
