What does Galatians 4:8–20 reveal about what God does in my place and on my behalf (Son)?
Jesus Christ came to free me from slavery to law and demonic forces. He lived the perfect life in my place, fully obedient to all God’s commands. He also died the death which I deserve for my rebellion and law breaking. Having come to know God through faith in Jesus Christ, I am assured of eternal life in his presence and there is no need for me to look to the law as a means of justification.
