The goal of your sermon for 1 Samuel 26 is to comfort and encourage God’s people with a reminder of the loyalty of our King Jesus. Highlight the grace of God shown in the actions of David towards Saul, and in the actions of Christ towards those who opposed him. Having done so, make it clear that the costs that come with following Jesus are worth it and should not dissuade us.
