Why were the high priest’s linen clothes left in the tabernacle?
Leviticus 16:23 (ESV)
23“Then Aaron shall come into the tent of meeting and shall take off the linen garments that he put on when he went into the Holy Place and shall leave them there.
The linen garments used by the high priest on the Day of Atonement were set apart for use on this day alone, they were not to be worn for the normal activity of the high priesthood.
