In the early church, the song of Simeon was one of the nine songs that Christians sang in addition to the psalms. It would be a great idea to sing the song of Simeon after you have preached a sermon on the song. A modern English version of Simeon’s song can be found here.
Along with singing the song of Simeon, you can also sing from Psalm 37, a song that looks forward to the day when Christ returns to remake the world and remove all evil, pain, and hardship, a day when only the righteous, only those who belong to Jesus will be left in the land, enjoying life in God’s wonderful presence, the days of glory.
