The Great Day coming unhindered

Revelation 22:6 (ESV)

6 And he said to me, “These words are trustworthy and true. And the Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, has sent his angel to show his servants what must soon take place.”

The Father has given an innumerable multitude from any tribe and race and language, living across the centuries and in far-flung locations, to the Son for redemption. As he goes out to gather his own, Satan (together with his assistants, including kings and merchants, Revelation 12:1–13:18) does what he can to hinder and frustrate Christ’s work. Christ Jesus unfolds the plan of God as recorded in the scroll he unsealed (Revelation 5:1–14) so that his predetermined goal comes to pass. It all happens soon (= with haste). Those whom the Father has given to him are born in different centuries and that cannot be changed. But Christ does overcome every satanic countermove hastily so that Satan cannot hinder the Great Day. Christ is Lord of time.
