Job’s hope is proof that he is not a wicked man. Throughout his speeches he has repeatedly prayed to God and expressed the hope that God will yet deliver him (Job 16:18–21; Job 19:25–27). He swears in the name of the very God who has denied him justice (Job 27:2). This kind of hope is not found among the godless.
