Again, Job’s sin is clearly put before him. He had questioned God’s ways, accusing God of injustice (Job 38:2; Job 39:2). He had done this with a number of complaints, such as:
He destroys both the blameless and the wicked
(Job 9:22)Those who provoke God are secure
(Job 12:6)Why do the wicked live on, reach old age, and grow mighty in power?
(Job 21:7)Why are not times of judgment kept by the Almighty?
(Job 24:1)God
has taken away my right
(Job 27:2)
8 Will you even put me in the wrong? Will you condemn me that you may be in the right?
