Job 32:2 (ESV)

2 Then Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite, of the family of Ram, burned with anger. He burned with anger at Job because he justified himself rather than God.

A new character is introduced. Elihu has been listening to the dispute between Job and his three friends. He is probably part of a whole group of onlookers. He is very angry at Job, not because Job has justified himself but because he has done so in a way that undermines God’s justice. Elihu is right in this regard, and he prepares the way for what God himself will have to say to Job (see also Job 40:2).
