Job had challenged God: Summon me and I will answer, or let me speak, and you reply
(Job 13:22). God accepts this challenge. However, he will not ask the kinds of questions that Job expects. He will not even touch on the dispute between Job and his friends, concerning Job’s innocence. Neither will he offer any explanation for Job’s suffering.
Rather, God will guide Job on a walk through creation. In this way, Job will discover that he has neither the wisdom nor the power to enter into a dispute with the Sovereign Creator.
3 Dress for action like a man; I will question you, and you make it known to me.
