The eagle (or vulture) has a darker side. From a young age, it loves eating blood. As it gets older, it is drawn to dead bodies, even human bodies that lie dead on the battlefield. The complexities and contrasts in God’s creation should lead us to admire his sovereignty and wisdom. His counsel exceeds all human understanding.
