Ezra 10 and the Trinity

Ezra 10:1–44 (ESV)

1 While Ezra prayed and made confession, weeping and casting himself down before the house of God, a very great assembly of men, women, and children, gathered to him out of Israel, for the people wept bitterly.

What does Ezra 10 reveal about what God the Son did in my place and on my behalf?

God the Son came to turn God’s anger away from me. He makes it possible for God to be just (punishing sin) and the one who justifies sinners (gracious). My sin is punished since it is paid for by Jesus Christ (therefore, God remains just in forgiving me my sin).
