This same question was answered in Revelation 12:6 as: for 1,260 days.
It is now answered as “for a time, and times, and half a time.” Given the parallels between Revelation 12:6 and here, these two expressions describe the same period of time. This period of time is also the “short” time the dragon has to express his great wrath (Revelation 12:12). It symbolizes the New Testament dispensation, the period between Christ’s ascension and his return.
