Hebrews 11:5 says that by faith Enoch was brought to another place. (Twice it says that Enoch was taken by God.) It is a special way of saying that Enoch was taken by faith.
His faith was that he lived intimately with the Lord and therefore God took him so that he did not face (literally: to see) death. Clearly the author emphasizes that God rewarded Enoch by sparing him from death, reminding the readers that it is worth it to serve the Lord.

5 By faith Enoch was taken up so that he should not see death, and he was not found, because God had taken him. Now before he was taken he was commended as having pleased God.
