As we seek to proclaim the gospel, we need to give attention to this matter of relationships. There is nothing wrong with door-to-door evangelism, handing out tracts, open-air preaching, and many other methods of spreading the gospel. But our evangelism should be more than a hit-and-run campaign. We should be seeking to share our lives with people, to let them know how we ourselves face the challenges of life, and what a difference it makes to live in relationship with Jesus. We should take an interest in them, their struggles and joys, and their response to the gospel.
5 because our gospel came to you not only in word, but also in power and in the Holy Spirit and with full conviction. You know what kind of men we proved to be among you for your sake.
