An outline of Revelation 14:6–13

Revelation 14:6–13 (ESV)

6 Then I saw another angel flying directly overhead, with an eternal gospel to proclaim to those who dwell on earth, to every nation and tribe and language and people.

Revelation 14:6–11 describes three angels flying one after the other (Revelation 14:6–7; Revelation 14:8; Revelation 14:9–11) through mid-heaven, each with a heavenly pronouncement for the inhabitants of earth to take to heart. In Revelation 14:12 a purpose for these announcements is clarified: the saints (a portion of the inhabitants of the earth) are shown evidence to prove that they shall definitely persevere on earth, for God’s eternal gospel shall always go forth even in the face of the dragon’s and the beast's best efforts to silence it. Revelation 14:13 climaxes this vision with a soul-warming beatitude directly from heaven
