In this dream, the tree is completely defoliated and cut down. This tree of life
is not a permanent feature but only temporary as it gets stripped of all its greatness. No longer does anyone come to seek shelter at this tree. People no longer seek their future at this tree. See for further explanation at Daniel 4:23–25.
