Daniel takes the floor. He is now going to tell Nebuchadnezzar his dream. Before he actually describes the dream, he emphasizes one more time that this is the work of the Lord. Daniel is in and of himself incapable of doing this. Again he makes it clear that he owes everything that he is about to say to the Lord alone. Literally he calls God, “He who reveals mysteries.”
29 To you, O king, as you lay in bed came thoughts of what would be after this, and he who reveals mysteries made known to you what is to be.
