1 Thessalonians 4:10 (ESV)

10 for that indeed is what you are doing to all the brothers throughout Macedonia. But we urge you, brothers, to do this more and more,

All Macedonians view the congregation of Thessalonica in a positive light. The members offer practical help and are hospitable. Paul and his travel companions have experienced this themselves (Acts 17:7). Still, an encouragement to remain hospitable is warranted. The risk to be pleased with what you do can easily take hold of you. Also in the church, that is a danger. That is the reason for the encouragement to remain active. For it is the desire of Christ that his followers will bear much fruit (John 15:8).
