Mark 1:1–45 (ESV)

1 The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

Mark calls Jesus: Christ, that is the Saviour appointed and anointed by God. He also calls him: Son of God, so that it is immediately clear that the Saviour who has come is really God himself. In him God comes to the earth!
