This verse closes the first major section of the book of Leviticus. The Lord revealed to Moses the proper instructions and procedure for carrying out the Israelite sacrificial system, both with regard to the people (Leviticus 1:2 – 6:7) and the priests (Leviticus 6:8 – 7:36). This verse emphasizes that these instructions are from the Lord; it is not a mere human invention.
