In the present paragraph Peter works out the manner in which Christians ought to respond to the salvation they have received as described in 1 Peter 1:3–12. Specifically, since Christians are adopted to be children of God, they are to reflect what their heavenly Father is like; “like Father, like son.”
13 Therefore, preparing your minds for action, and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
