Revelation of God the Son

Acts 2:42–47 (ESV)

42 And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.

What does Acts 2:42-47 reveal about what God does in my place and on my behalf (the work of the Son)? Jesus Christ’s body was broken and blood was spilled as complete redemption for the sins of all those who trust in God. The breaking of bread is a reminder of what Christ has done and it is a participation in his body and blood. It is only because of him that we have access to God (Hebrews 10:19–25), calling him Father (Romans 8:12–17).
