What does Joshua 2 reveal about what God the Son does in my place and on my behalf?
God saved me from the death that I deserve for my sins by sending his Son to be judged in my place. A scarlet cord on a window would be the sign to save Rahab from judgment. The blood of a lamb on the doorposts of homes would be the sign to save the Israelites from God’s judgement. The blood of Christ would be the way in which God saves his people from the judgement they deserve. The death of the Son of God has atoned for my sins so that I can be sure of a future rest with God in glory.
1 And Joshua the son of Nun sent two men secretly from Shittim as spies, saying, “Go, view the land, especially Jericho.” And they went and came into the house of a prostitute whose name was Rahab and lodged there.
