Sermon goal of Acts 3:1-26

Acts 3:1–26 (ESV)

1 Now Peter and John were going up to the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour.

The book of Acts recounts the spread of the early church and the manner in which Christ works to take the gospel from Jerusalem, to Samaria, and finally to the ends of the world (Acts 1:8). In this sermon you must focus on the healing of the beggar and Peter’s subsequent speech. The aim of your sermon will be to explain what the purpose of miracles was, what the miracle represented, and what it means to be part of God’s people, including who the people of God are today.
