Acts 9:31–43 (ESV)

31 So the church throughout all Judea and Galilee and Samaria had peace and was being built up. And walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, it multiplied.

The book of Acts recounts the spread of the early church and the manner in which Christ works to take the gospel from Jerusalem, to Samaria and finally to the ends of the world (Acts 1:8). Your sermon from Acts 9:31–43 will explain why Peter goes to Lydda, what his miracles reveal, and why he is brought to Joppa. You will also explain how the details regarding Saul’s work fit in with the larger context of the miracles. You will show how the Lord is preparing his church for the first official mission to the Gentiles and how this mission testifies to the gospel.
