This verse shows a comparison in which the wife makes it clear how deep her love, her unique friendship with her husband extends. It goes so deep that she actually wants to always show what she is feeling. She knows that this is not possible. Yet her desire for it clearly shows how much she is filled with love for her husband. The deep longing that is so clearly expressed may give the wrong impression (see also Song of Solomon 2:6).
