What does Acts 6:8-15 reveal about what God does in my place and on my behalf (the work of the Son)? I am not able to render the perfect obedience which God requires of me. When suffering and opposition come I find it so hard to remain faithful to Christ and his commandments. I often find a way to excuse my sin and failure and then I feel guilty and ashamed. Graciously, Jesus Christ has lived the perfect life in my place and died the death which my sins deserve. Because of him I can be forgiven for my weakness and failures. I can be made right with God even though that is the last thing that I deserve.
8 And Stephen, full of grace and power, was doing great wonders and signs among the people.
